Mariners Hospital Rehabilitation Center offers one-on-one therapies to help with impaired speech due to physical or neurological changes or other complications causing difficulty with cognition and communication. We also offer therapy for swallowing dysfunctions.We are the only hospital-based outpatient speech-language pathology facility in the Keys. Services are available for children, adolescents and adults.
Our certified speech-language pathologist will complete a comprehensive evaluation and develop a personalized treatment plan that will increase your ability to communicate or eat safely. Your progress will be measured on an ongoing basis, and changes will be made as needed to your plan of treatment to ensure the best possible outcome.
Our speech-language pathologist performs l screenings, including comprehensive audiological assessments.
Tracy Carter, Speech-Language Pathologist
Tracy holds a master’s degree in communication science and disorders and a certificate of clinical competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. Additionally, Tracy has training in McNeill Dysphagia Therapy, Beckman Oral Motor Assessment and Intervention as well as Lingraphica (speech generation device) training. She is a member of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and the Florida Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (FLASHA) and has 28 years of experience in speech-language pathology.
