How do you know if you have Sleep Apnea?

Do you have:

  • Excessive loud snoring
  • Restless sleep
  • Severe morning headaches, dry mouth or sore throat
  • Reduced alertness
  • Awakening with choking, gasping or smothering
  • Waking frequently to urinate
  • Daytime fatigue
  • Lack of energy or excessive sleepiness despite getting an adequate amount of sleep (usually 7-8 hours) at night
  • Poor concentration
  • Forgetfulness
  • Mood changes

  • We’re here to diagnose many people who need help sleeping, including patients with sleep apnea, narcolepsy, and periodic leg movement syndrome.

We might recommend you stay with us overnight for a polysomnography – a test done while you’re sleeping that measures brain waves, heartbeat and oxygen levels. We’ll also observe your eye movements, muscle tension, leg movements, and how you breathe while you sleep.  All to help determine the diagnosis behind your individual sleep problem.

In terms of treatment, we’re proud to offer CPAP or continuous positive airway pressure treatments. For the appropriate patient, CPAP can help keep your airway open and optimize the amount of oxygen you breathe in during sleep.
