Imaging Services

If you’re coming to Mariners Hospital for an MRI, CT scan or x-ray, you’re coming to the right place.

Our Board-certified radiologists and certified registered technologists explain why your doctor ordered an x-ray, computed tomography (also called a CAT scan) or other image, and what will happen during the procedure. They will also let you know when you can expect the results.

Personal Attention in High Tech Setting

We understand the anxiety and worry you might feel ahead of time. Our highly trained staff works in a warm, caring environment while providing the latest technology, including:

  • DaTscan brain imaging to help in the early diagnosis of Parkinson and Parkinsonian type disease. You might be a candidate if you experience tremors, loss of balance or coordination, a shuffling walk or other problems with movement. Mariners Hospital is the only Monroe County hospital to offer this procedure.
  • A 64-slice CT scanner, which doctors can use to perform coronary CT angiography. This non-invasive look at plaque buildup in heart vessels can predict risk for heart disease, including a heart attack.
  • An upgraded 1.5 Tessla MRI
  • Diagnostic ultrasound, including breast ultrasound, echocardiography and bone density imaging.

  • Additional Services

  • Digital mammography
  • Ultrasound-guided core biopsies
  • X-rays with fluoroscopy
  • Nuclear medicine scans

  • We provide high-quality patient care-- the American College of Radiology accredits many of our imaging services.

    Patient Safety

Also, our radiologists and technologists subscribe to Image Wisely and Image Gently pledging to reduce and maintain radiation as low as reasonably achievable.
