Cardiac Rehabilitation

Why should you consider Cardiac Rehabilitation at Mariners Hospital? If you’ve had a heart attack, cardiac bypass surgery or angioplasty in the past year, our expert clinicians work to improve your overall heart health, increase your stamina and reduce your risk of future heart disease.

We also treat people with stable angina (chest pain).

What to Expect

Cardiac rehabilitation typically includes exercise during a one hour session 3 times per week, for a total of 36 sessions. You will be attached to a heart monitor for at least 30 minutes during each visit. Educational sessions, individualized exercise plans and custom diets are additional features of our medically-supervised program.|

We’ll ask you about smoking, diabetes, depression, sleep apnea and any personal or family history of coronary artery disease.

High Patient Satisfaction

But don’t just take our word for it – 99% of patients report satisfaction with the Mariners Hospital Cardiopulmonary Department, which includes cardiac rehabilitation, according to annual survey data.

High Quality Care in a Local Setting

Mariners Hospital has the only cardiac rehab facility in Monroe County. We’re proud to be accredited through The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations and American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
