Clinical Research Trials

At Baptist Health, we believe in providing patients with every health advantage. That’s why we participate in a variety of clinical research trials for the benefit of patients with serious or chronic conditions. Clinical trials are studies managed by government agencies, educational institutions, private not-for-profit organizations, or commercial businesses, to develop, produce and evaluate the effectiveness of new treatments and preventive therapies for diseases. Clinical trials give patients the opportunity to take advantage of cutting-edge treatments and emerging therapies.

One example is Baptist Health’s recent partnership with Tampa-based H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute for the Total Cancer Care™ research study. This study may lead to individualized treatments for specific types of cancer by studying each tumor’s unique genetic profile. Our hospitals and facilities also partner with government and physician practices on additional cancer research trials.

The physicians at Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute also provide patients with multiple opportunities to participate in a series of innovative cardiovascular studies.

To enhance the quality of our medical care and the health of our community, Baptist Health offers ongoing opportunities to participate in clinical research trials.
