    Al‐Anon Saturday Serenity AFG | Saturdays, 8:00 - 9:15 p.m.

    For family and friends of people who have drinking problems. Meetings are held at Baptist Hospital Classroom 5 located in 3-South Conference Center.

    For family and friends of people who have drinking problems. Meetings are at South Miami Hospital, Classroom E, located in the Victor E. Clarke Education Center.

    ACHE (Arthritis Can Hit Everyone) | Mondays, 7 - 9 p.m.

    To improve the lives of people with arthritis through leadership in the prevention, control and cure of arthritis and related diseases. Meetings are held at South Miami Hospital's Occupational Therapy Department located in the Main Building, Sixth Floor, the second Monday of each month.

    Free makeovers by hairdressers and cosmetologists for women with cancer.

    Your Bosom Buddies/Breast Cancer Support Group 

    A "been there, done that" sharing and caring support group with members available 24 hours a day if needed. Meetings are held at South Miami Hospital's .

    Cardiac

    WomenHeart (2 Groups‐ English & Spanish) | Thursdays, 6 - 8 p.m.

    For women who are living with heart disease. This group provides women a chance to meet with others who are also living with heart disease. Meetings are held at Baptist Hospital, BCVI Cardiac Rehab second floor, the third Thursday of every month. English session from 6-7 p.m., and Spanish session from 7-8 p.m. For meeting dates, please call 786‐596‐6564.
     


    Supporting Hearts Support Group (English & Spanish)
    | 2 - 4 p.m.

    For patients and families. Meets bi-monthly to educate patients and their caregivers to help manage diet, medications, activity and improve health. Previously K/A Heart Failure Support Group and Young Hearts. Meetings are held at South Miami Hospital's Victor E. Clarke Education Center, first Monday of each month. 2‐4 p.m. English lessons from 2-3 p.m., and Spanish lessons from 3-4 p.m. Please call 786‐662‐4380.


    Heart Failure Support Group
    | 11 a.m. - 12 Noon

    For heart failure patients and family members. Learn how to live healthy lives and decrease hospital admission and/or re-admission.
    Meetings are held at Homestead Hospital, Lime Room, the last Tuesday of each month.


    Pulmonary Hypertension 
    | 2 - 4 p.m.

    To educate patients, families and caregivers in managing the disease, low-sodium diet and medication. Meetings are held at South Miami Hospital's Victor E. Clarke Education Center, Classroom E. Call 786-662-4380 for more information.

    Digestive Orders

    Celiac Disease Gluten‐free in South Florida | Mondays, 7 - 9 p.m.

    For patients and family members of people suffering from celiac disease and/or dermatitis herpetiformis. Meetings are held at Baptist Hospital, Medical Arts Building, Suite 105, the first Monday of every month.
     
     
     






    Diabetes

    Adult Diabetes Support Group | Tuesdays, 6 - 7 p.m.

    For adults with either Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes. Meetings are held at Homestead Hospital Mango Room the first Tuesday of the month.






    Mental Health

    NAMI of Miami Friends and Family Support Group | Mondays, 7:30 - 9:30 p.m.

    For loved ones of those with mental illness or mental illness co‐occurring with substance abuse. Meetings are held at Baptist Health Resource Center, 8950 N. Kendall Drive, Suite 105, the second Monday & fourth Thursday of each month.






    Neurology

    Multiple Sclerosis Spirituality | Thursdays, 6 - 7 p.m.

    Multiple Sclerosis patients and their family members participate in discussions regarding spirituality and medical conditions. Meetings are held at Doctors Hospital, second floor Chapel, the second Thursday of the month.
     
     


    Miami Dade MS Evening Group
    | Thursdays, 7 - 8:30 p.m.

    Multiple Sclerosis Patients and their family members participate in discussions. Meetings are held at Doctors Hospital, cafeteria, the second Thursday of every month.
     


    Parkinson’s Disease Support Group (English) | Fridays, 7 - 8 p.m.

    For family members, friends and caregivers of patients with Parkinson's. Meetings are held at the Baptist Hospital Medical Arts Building, Suite 105, the second Friday of every month. Please note: No meetings are held in June, July or August.
     
     



    Neuroscience

    Brain Injury Support Group | Tuesdays, 6:15 - 8 p.m.

    The Brain Injury Program Support Group offers encouragement and education for patients and families coping with brain injury. For further information, please contact our Brain Injury Program Coordinator, Caroline Godinez, at 786-596-6520 or Sharon Wright at 786-596-6578 Meetings are held at Baptist Hospital, 8900 N. Kendall Drive, Rehabilitation Gym in Lake Pavilion Building. Group meets in January, March, May, July, September, November only.

     
     

    Life After Stroke Support Group | Tuesdays, 6 - 7:15 p.m.

    For stroke survivors, their families and caregivers to learn the educational and emotional tools needed to get them through this difficult time. Meetings are held at Baptist Hospital, 8900 N.     New Parents

    Baby’s First Year, A Group for New Moms |  Fridays, 10 - 11:30 a.m.

    New moms and their babies attend sessions together. Supportive sharing is fostered among the mothers. Interactions to facilitate mother/baby bonding are encouraged. Child development education is provided. Meetings are held at South Miami Hospital's Victor E. Clarke Education Center, Classroom F, the first and third Friday of every month.
     


    Breastfeeding Discussion Group
    | Wednesdays, 10 - 11:30 a.m.

    Provides education and support for breastfeeding mothers before and after delivery. Meetings are at the Baptist Hospital Medical Arts Building, Suite 105, the first, second, third and fourth Wednesday of the month. No meetings will be held on the following dates in 2014: Wednesday Apr. 16th, Jun. 18th, Aug. 20th, Oct. 22nd, and Nov. 19th.


    New Moms Support Group
    | Tuesdays, 10 - 11:00 a.m.

    A new self help group to get moms together to help avoid the social isolation some new moms experience especially during the first year of motherhood. Meetings are held at the Baptist Hopsital, Rehab Conference Room, the second Tuesday of each month. Newborns Welcome.

    Scleroderma Support Group | Saturdays, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

    For people with scleroderma (an autoimmune disease primarily affecting the skin). Family and friends are invited. Meetings are held at Baptist Hospital, 3-South Classroom 5, the second Saturday of every month.





    Sleep

    AWAKE | Thursdays, 5:30 - 8 p.m.

    Quit Smoking Now  | Mondays

    For those who want to quit smoking. Meetings are at Homestead Hospital, Auditorium. English sessions are 6-7 p.m. and Spanish sessions are 7-8 p.m.

    For people who have had surgery for obesity or contemplating surgery. Meetings are held at South Miami Hospital's Victor E. Clarke Education Center, Classroom E, the fourth Thursday of every month.

    A support group for wound care. Meetings are held at the Baptist Health Resource Center, 8950 N. Kendall Drive, Suite 105,  the third Wednesday of every month. No meetings held in July or August.
