Sunil M. Chauhan, M.D., is a neurologist at Marcus Neuroscience Institute, a part of Baptist Health, who specializes in the care of hospitalized patients with neurological conditions that affect the brain, spinal cord and nerves.
Board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Chauhan has more than 18 years of experience in clinical neurology in the outpatient and inpatient settings. His clinical interests include Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, complex neurological disorders, stroke management, migraine, Botox treatments and palliative neurology care.
Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Chauhan was a neurohospitalist at Jupiter Medical Center Medical Group in Jupiter, Fla.
After earning his medical degree at Government Medical College in Gujarat, India, Dr. Chauhan earned a Master of Science in Public Health degree at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. His clinical training includes an internal medicine internship at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in Queens, N.Y., and a neurology residency at the University of North Carolina, where he served as chief resident. He is a member of the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society.
Dr. Chauhan believes that open, two-way communication is the key to providing outstanding patient care. He takes time to educate his patients and their family members and caregivers and guide them in making shared decisions.
Dr. Chauhan is fluent in English, Hindi and Gujarati. When he is not treating patients, he enjoys spending time with his family as well as gardening, cooking, traveling, exercising and doing Yoga.
