Stephanie Sowa, PA-C, MMSc, is a certified physician assistant at Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute. She provides care for patients with brain and spinal conditions and is fluent in English and Spanish.
Before joining Baptist Health, Stephanie completed her bachelor’s degree in biology with minors in Spanish and chemistry from the University of Arizona. She then earned her master’s degree in marine science from Jacksonville University.
After working with whales, dolphins and sea turtles as an international marine biologist, Stephanie transitioned from animal care to human healthcare. She served as a patient care technician in a progressive care unit in Jacksonville, Fla., and then worked with geriatric patients.
Dedicated to providing patient-centered care, Stephanie takes time to get to know patients and their families. Through active listening, detailed conversations and compassionate support, she partners with her patients to help them achieve their goals.
When she is not working, Stephanie stays active scuba diving, running, paddle boarding, biking and exploring the great outdoors. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
