About Shalom Adams, MD
Shalom Adams, M.D., is a board-certified family medicine physician at Baptist Health Primary Care. He provides patients with a wide range of essential, routine and preventive health services, including annual checkups, school physicals, wellness exams, nutrition counseling, contraception counseling and sexual health screening. He also treats acute illnesses as well as chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, thyroid disorders, obesity, nicotine dependence, depression and anxiety.
Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Adams was a family medicine physician with Broward Health Physician Group.
Dr. Adams earned his medical degree at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in Sint Maarten and completed a family medicine residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in Oceanside, N.Y. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association and the American Neurological Association.
Dr. Adams is committed to helping his patients improve their well-being and prevent future medical issues. He collaborates closely with patients to understand their goals, overcome challenges and make meaningful lifestyle changes that support long-term health and wellness.
When he is not treating patients, Dr. Adams enjoys spending time with his family and dog, cooking, reading fantasy books, following sports and enjoying nature.
