Santiago Aparo, M.D., is an oncologist/hematologist at Miami Cancer Institute, a part of Baptist Health South Florida. He received his medical degree from the Universidad del Salvador School of Medicine in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He completed an internal medicine internship and residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, where he also completed a fellowship in hematology/oncology. He is Board-certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology.

Dr Aparo was excellent. He thoroughly explained my condition and what the possible sources could be, however he then did some more examination and through microscopic analysis of my blood sample determined by previous inaccurate blood readings on platelet levels were misleading due to pseudo thrombocytopenia. I'm extremely thankful that he took the extra step which allayed my concerns.

Dr. Aparo is an excellent doctor, very professional, patient, polite and knowledgeable. Love him! But every time I have to wait at least 30-45 minutes for my scheduled doctor check-up, the day before my chemo treatment. Despite being punctual for my appointments, I always end up waiting for quite some time. However, as mentioned above, he is an outstanding doctor!

I saw Dr. Aparo to obtain a pre-op surgery clearance. He was excellent all around. Showed care, interest in my situation and made me comfortable by taking the time to listen and knowledgeably answer all of my questions.
