Sana Shaukat, M.D., is a board-certified internal medicine physician at Baptist Health Primary Care. She provides comprehensive primary care services for adults and has professional interests in preventive medicine, women’s health, weight management and preventive cardiology. Dr. Shaukat is particularly passionate about helping patients reduce their long-term risk of chronic disease through evidence-based preventive care, lifestyle modification and personalized treatment plans.
Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Shaukat was a resident physician in the Florida Atlantic University Internal Medicine Residency Program, where she trained at Boca Raton Regional Hospital and Bethesda Hospital East. She also served as a primary care clinical extern with Rebello Medical Associates in Delray Beach and previously practiced as a general practitioner in Lahore, Pakistan.
Dr. Shaukat earned her medical degree from Army Medical College in Pakistan. She completed her internal medicine residency at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Fla.,
She is board-eligible in internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians. In addition to her clinical work, she has participated in medical education, curriculum development and cardiovascular research.
Dr. Shaukat believes in building strong, trusting relationships with her patients and providing compassionate, individualized care. Her approach focuses on prevention, patient education and treating the whole person rather than simply addressing symptoms or disease. Drawing on her multicultural background, she values clear communication and strives to create an environment where patients feel comfortable, respected and actively involved in their healthcare decisions.
When she is not treating patients, Dr. Shaukat enjoys spending quality time with her son and parents, traveling, cooking and baking, and maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
