Nikola Jovanovic, M.D., is a neurologist at Marcus Neuroscience Institute, a part of Baptist Health. He provides hospital-based care for patients with neurologic disorders, and his clinical interest is in headache management.
Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Jovanovic was a neurohospitalist at All Star Health and Jupiter Medical Center.
Dr. Jovanovic earned his medical degree at American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. He completed an internal medicine Internship at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit and a neurology residency at University of Florida Health in Jacksonville.
Dr. Jovanovic has published his research findings in peer-reviewed publications and presented at national academic conferences. He is a member of several professional associations.
Patient education is an important aspect of neurology care, says Dr. Jovanovic. He spends quality time with his patients to ensure that they understand what is happening and why. The knowledge he shares helps his patients make informed health decisions and participate in their own care.
Dr. Jovanovic is fluent in English, German and Serbo-Croatian. During his free time, he enjoys playing basketball and snorkeling.
