About Nadia Bambace, MD
Nadia Bambace, M.D., is a board-certified hematologic oncologist at Baptist Health Herbert Wertheim Cancer Institute. Dr. Bambace specializes in the treatment of hematologic cancers with a focus on acute leukemia but proficiency in lymphoma, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndrome and myeloproliferative neoplasms. She has specific training and expertise in autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplantation and immune cellular therapy with experience performing alternative transplantations including haploidentical, umbilical cord and expanded umbilical cord stem cell transplantation. Prior to joining Baptist Health in 2022, Dr. Bambace served as an attending hematologist at the Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont in Montreal, Quebec, since 2014 where she also held the title of associate professor of medicine and associate hematology fellowship program director at the Université de Montréal. She has served as a mentor for medical students, medicine residents and hematology fellows and is committed to working with trainees on pedagogical strategies to optimize medical education. Dr. Bambace has served on numerous advisory committees and boards in Canada. She held leadership positions in drug and practice regulation at both the provincial and national levels and notably participated in the task force that established the accreditation criteria for hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for the Royal College of Physicians of Canada. She is a member of the American Heart Association, American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Bone Marrow Transplantation. Dr. Bambace offers evidence-based and compassionate medical care. She understands that she’s not treating a disease, but a unique individual. With that philosophy, she seeks to empower patients by providing the necessary information to participate in shared decision-making. When she is not treating patients, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling and trying new recipes.
