About Michael R Gonzalez Ramos, MD
Michael Gonzalez Ramos, M.D., is a general surgeon and a member of Baptist Health Medical Group, an organization of more than 180 physicians in multiple specialties closely aligned with Baptist Health South Florida. He specializes in minimally invasive bariatric procedures, as well as gastrointestinal surgery, gallbladder removal, inguinal hernia repair and other general surgery procedures.
Dr. Gonzalez-Ramos received his undergraduate degree from Baylor University, Waco, Texas. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, San Juan, where he received the Academic Excellence Award each year for first- through fourth-year medical students. He completed a residency in general surgery at the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus, and a fellowship in general surgery and minimally invasive bariatric surgery with Baptist Health Medical Group.
Dr. Gonzalez-Ramos is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American College of Physicians and the Puerto Rico Society of Surgery Residents.
