About Julian Guia-Garcia, MD
Julian Guia, M.D., is a board-certified primary care physician with Baptist Health Primary Care. He provides comprehensive primary care that includes preventive care, annual physicals and sports physicals, screening tests, chronic disease management and healthy lifestyle counseling. His clinical interests include arterial hypertension, diabetes and mood disorders.
Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Guia was a primary care physician with Penate Medical Centers, located in South Florida.
Dr. Guia earned his medical degree at Instituto Superior de Ciencias Médicas de Villa Clara in Santa Clara, Cuba. He completed an internal medicine residency at Hospital General Clínico – Quirúrgico Universitario Celestino Hernández in Santa Clara, Villa Clara, Cuba as well as an internal medicine residency at Universidad Central del Caribe, Dr. Ramon Ruiz Arnau University Hospital in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and a member of several professional organizations.
When it comes to patient care, Dr. Guia provides the kind of personalized service he would like to receive. He focuses on caring for the patient rather than simply treating the disease.
Dr. Guia is fluent in English and Spanish. When he is not treating patients, he enjoys spending time with friends and analyzing stock market trends. He is also a car enthusiast.
