About Jonathan Adam Fialkow, MD
Jonathan Fialkow, M.D., FACC is a cardiologist, chief medical executive of Integrated Services and Precision Care, and chief of cardiology at Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute. Prior to these roles, he served as the founding leader of Baptist Health Quality Network and the organization’s first chief population health officer. Dr. Fialkow is board certified in internal medicine and cardiology and is a lipidologist certified by the American Board of Clinical Lipidology. He has more than 30 years of experience serving patients in his field. He specializes in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiovascular disease and its risk factors. He has special interest and extensive experience in cardiac prevention, including nutrition and exercise management, as well as lipid disorders, hypertension, coronary artery disease and congestive heart failure. He has been the principal investigator on numerous cardiovascular clinical research studies that focus on such areas as medical management, diagnostic imaging, diagnostic and treatment devices and patient outcomes. As Baptist Health’s chief medical executive for Population Health, Value and Primary Care, Dr. Fialkow focuses on innovation in healthcare delivery. He is advancing a transformative care model that utilizes team-based care, digital tools and care coordination to enhance patient access to care and the patient experience. Dr. Fialkow is dedicated to educating the community on disease prevention. He is the host of Baptist HealthTalk podcast, which provides listeners with informative health and wellness information from Baptist Health experts. Dr. Fialkow is a fellow of both the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association. He earned his medical degree at Boston University School of Medicine and completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center, located in New York, N.Y. His post-graduate training also includes a cardiology fellowship at Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Fialkow is fluent in English and Spanish.
