About Jaime Luis Roman-Diaz, MD
Jaime Roman-Diaz, M.D., is a board-certified hematologist oncologist at Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute. He specializes in bone marrow transplantation and cellular immunotherapy and has a clinical interest and expertise in lymphoma, myeloma and leukemia.
Caring for patients for more than 20 years, Dr. Roman-Diaz’s vast experience includes serving as lead hematology oncology hospitalist at Florida Cancer Specialists in Fort Myers, Fla., and as medical director of a hematology oncology private practice.
Dr. Roman-Diaz earned his medical degree at Ponce School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He completed an internal medicine residency and a hematology oncology fellowship at San Juan VA Medical Center. He also completed a bone marrow transplant and cellular therapy fellowship at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Fla.
Dr. Roman-Diaz is certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is president of the Hispanic American Doctors Association of Southwest Florida and a member of the Pan American Medical Association.
Since patient-centered care is important to Dr. Roman-Diaz, he puts his patients at the center of the experience, involves them in the care plan and treats them with empathy and kindness. He also offers his patients the most cutting-edge treatments to improve their experience, outcomes and survival rate.
Dr. Roman-Diaz is fluent in English and Spanish. When he is not treating patients, he enjoys boating, golfing, drone videography and photography and spending time with his family.
