His patient-centered approach ensures that diagnostic tests are properly utilized to make informed decisions about a patient’s diagnosis and treatment. When determining the best treatment option, Dr. Rua minimizes invasive procedures and prioritizes nonsurgical options like medication, physical therapy and lifestyle modifications before considering surgery. When a patient does have surgery, he collaborates with the healthcare team to develop a timely and effective hospital discharge plan that promotes healing and recovery.
Dr. Rua is fluent in English and Spanish. When he is not treating patients, he enjoys playing tennis, golf, chess and going water skiing and snow skiing.
