About Hanif Mortlake Williams, MD
Hanif Williams, M.D., is a family medicine physician with Baptist Health Primary Care, a part of Baptist Health Medical Group, an organization of more than 180 physicians in multiple specialties closely aligned with Baptist Health South Florida. Dr. Williams specializes in family medicine, treating a wide range of health problems, including chronic disease management for diabetes, heart disease and hypertension; simple and complex health matters; minor emergencies; and weight loss. He promotes healthy lifestyle choices and performs health-risk assessments.
Dr. Williams received his medical degree from the University of West Indies in Jamaica, and completed mixed rotating internships in internal medicine, general surgery and pediatric medicine at the University Hospital of the West Indies, in Ob/Gyn at the Victoria Jubilee Hospital, and in pulmonary medicine at the National Chest Hospital, all in Kingston, Jamaica. In addition, he completed a residency in family medicine at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he was Chief Resident. He is Board-certified in family medicine and is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
He has served in the capacity of department chief at Baptist Health for over 10 years.
