Frantz R Lerebours, MD

Frantz Lerebours, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Baptist Health Orthopedic Care. He has more than 10 years of experience providing compassionate and comprehensive orthopedic care. His expertise extends to a wide range of surgical procedures, including complex shoulder and knee ligament reconstruction, rotator cuff repairs as well as shoulder replacement surgery. He utilizes patient-specific technology combined with artificial intelligence and 3D printing to improve the accuracy of shoulder replacement and resurfacing surgery. He also has a background in orthopedic trauma and fracture surgery. Dr. Lerebours joined Baptist Health Orthopedic Care in 2020 from Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.  During his time in Los Angeles, he provided sports medicine team coverage for the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Kings. Dr. Lerebours currently serves as a team physician for the Miami HEAT and Florida International University Athletics and as a consultant for Inter Miami Soccer. Graduating with top honors from Howard University College of Medicine, Dr. Lerebours went on to serve as chief resident during his orthopedic residency at the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases, which is regarded as the premier orthopedic surgery training program in the country. He also completed a sports medicine fellowship at the world-renowned Kerlan Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in Los Angeles. Dr. Lerebours is widely regarded by his peers for his expert surgical skills and ability. He has been honored with numerous awards, including the Southern California Super Doctors Rising Stars Award, Castle  Connolly Top Doctor Award, America’s Top Doctor Award, Ralph Lusskin Resident Teacher of the Year Award and Charles H. Epps Award for Excellence in Orthopaedic Surgery. His research has been published in peer-reviewed publications.
