Dora Escobedo, APRN, MSN, AOCNP is an advanced oncology certified nurse practitioner at Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute’s Benign Breast Clinic. She provides care to breast cancer patients who have completed their treatment and visit the clinic annually for a review of their breast imaging and physical exam. She also sees women who are at high risk for breast cancer and those who have benign breast issues, such as abnormal breast symptoms, mammograms or ultrasounds.
Ms. Escobedo earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Barry University and her master’s degree in nursing at Florida International University.
To contribute to the medical community, Ms. Escobedo serves as an ARNP Student Preceptor at Florida International University and the University of Miami as well as a speaker at the Miami-Dade Area Health Education Center. She is also a member of the Oncology Nursing Society.
Dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care, Ms. Escobedo listens to her patients with much interest to learn about their families and lifestyle as well as their health goals and expectations of their visit.
Ms. Escobedo is fluent in English and Spanish. When she is not treating patients, she enjoys spending time with her son and friends, gardening, caring for orchids, decorating spaces and traveling.
