David R. Mishkin, M.D. FACEP, is a board-certified emergency medicine physician and medical director of Express Symptom Management at Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute, assistant medical director of Emergency Medicine at Baptist Health Baptist Hospital and medical director of Telemedicine for Baptist Health Care On Demand.
Dr. Mishkin earned his medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada. He completed an emergency medicine internship and residency at Wayne State University/Detroit Receiving Hospital, where he served as chief resident.
Dr. Mishkin is an emergency medicine clinical instructor at the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine at Florida International University. He is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and member of several professional organizations. He also serves on physician leadership committees at Baptist Health.
Dr. Mishkin provides compassionate, patient-centered care that balances clinical efficiency with genuine human connection. As an emergency medicine physician, he prioritizes decisive, thoughtful decision-making while ensuring that each patient feels heard and understood. During his free time, Dr. Mishkin enjoys spending time with his family, reading non-fiction and traveling. He is also passionate about nutrition, sports, running and exercising.
