Daniel Rodriguez Velez, M.D., is a board-certified internal medicine physician at Baptist Health Primary Care. He provides comprehensive primary care, including preventive care, acute care and chronic disease management, and has training and expertise in cardiology.
Dr. Rodriguez Velez serves as an affiliate junior faculty member in the Department of Medicine at Nova Southeastern University. Prior to joining Baptist Health, he was a primary care physician at MyCare Medical in West Palm Beach and Pompano Beach.
Dr. Rodriguez Velez earned his medical degree at CES University School of Medicine in Medellin, Columbia. He completed an internal medicine residency at SBH Health System/CUNY School of Medicine, Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, N.Y. His post-graduate training includes cardiology research fellowships at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine and at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School. He also completed a one-year cardiovascular disease fellowship at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, La.
Dr. Rodriguez Velez’s research in cardiology is widely published in peer-reviewed scientific journals. He is an editorial board member at Clinical Medicine Research/Science Publishing Group and a member of the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Physicians.
