About Dan Enger Ruiz, MD
Dan Ruiz, M.D., specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of conditions affecting the lower digestive tract, including the colon, rectum and anus. He is highly skilled in all methods of colon and rectal surgery, including laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery. In addition, he is highly proficient in a wide array of general surgery as well as upper digestive tract procedures. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed research publications on surgical techniques and published more than 40 abstracts in medical journals and several book chapters. He has given nearly 60 oral or poster presentations in his specialty at national and international surgical conferences.
In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Ruiz is a member of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons.
