About Craig Alan Hostig, MD
Craig Hostig, M.D., FACC, is a board-certified cardiologist at Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute, part of Baptist Health Heart & Vascular Care. Throughout his career, he has cared for patients across Broward and South Florida, emphasizing preventive strategies, early diagnosis and individualized treatment plans designed to support lifelong heart health. He works closely with referring physicians and multidisciplinary care teams to ensure coordinated, seamless care for every patient.
He earned his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore after graduating magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Brooklyn College. Dr. Hostig completed his internship, residency in internal medicine and fellowship training in cardiovascular diseases at Weill Cornell Medicine affiliated institutions, including North Shore University Hospital and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. His academic training also included appointments with Cornell University Medical College, where he contributed to medical education and clinical instruction.
Board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and nuclear cardiology, Dr. Hostig maintains active licensure in Florida. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and has participated in research focused on myocardial infarction, thrombolytic therapy and advances in cardiac catheterization strategies. In addition to his clinical work, he has served in hospital leadership roles, including on a hospital board of trustees and cardiovascular physician advisory committees.
Dr. Hostig is committed to open communication, shared decision-making and helping patients understand their condition and treatment options so they feel confident and supported throughout their care journey.
Outside of work, Dr. Hostig enjoys exercising, playing pickleball, watching the Florida Panthers and spending time with his family and golden retrievers.
