I believe the doctor is very knowledgeable. However, I got the feeling that he felt I was wasting his time perhaps because it was just a sprain, but he did not even look up at me and he spent 80% of the two minutes he was with me typing on the computer. It was almost as if he was annoyed that I was there for something as simple as a sprain. To be fair I believe if I come in with something more complicated he may have been a more attentive and interested. He didn't seem to wanna listen to any of my concerns or answer any questions. He basically said if it's still bothering me after six weeks come back but gave me the impression he really did not want me to come back again maybe he was having a bad day or had other things on his mind. But I felt pretty dismissed and was not very happy when I left. I think the nurse/assistant picked up on it and tried to make up for it. She was excellent.I'm sure the doctor is a fine doctor but I would not personally schedule another appointment with him. I am not someone to leave negative feedback and I am trying to be as impartial as possible. This was my experience. I'm sure others have had better experiences. Sometimes people just interact with someone that they don't necessarily want to interact with or assist. Again I know doctors have a lot of patients to see in their time is limited, but this is the shortest I have ever had a doctor spend with me. I say two minutes and that's generous and he may be looked up for 10 seconds again I know it's just a sprain and I know it's not gonna make a lot of money, but I did pay my copayment and the insurance is going to pay for the visit. I had to spend money to go see another doctor the same week because I I did not feel confident about this visit. The other doctor spent more time with me maybe five minutes, but at least he explained everything. Listen to my concerns and answered all my questions. Again I am not one to complain and I'm not expecting a TV type of doctor. I know the reality of medicine and manage care as I have worked in that field. This was a huge contrast to the experience I had at the Baptist urgent care. The doctor was fantastic and again it's not like he spent three hours with me, but the minutes he spent, he looked at me, treated me like a person and answered all my questions and at least up here to take my concerns, seriously. Dr Chapman was not seeing me out of the goodness of his heart or doing me any favors he is getting paid, again that is not the kind of comment I usually make, but in this case it applies since he seemed almost annoyed, I was there and like I was wasting his time.

Dr. Chapman saw me in reference to another surgeon's operation with disappointing results. Although his opinion was not one I was hoping to hear, he was genuinely concerned and understood my issues.

I felt Dr Chapman rushing and overall we spend less than 5 minutes. He did address my concerns but it was too fast, Doctors should realize that we non-doctors need time to understand the medical conditions.

I started recommending Dr. Chapman last year. He listens and there is give and take in the discussion. I know he is concerned that he gives the best possible care for you the patient. He is easy to talk to and he takes into account your concerns and addresses them.

27/1/2024
As soon as I informed that I was still having some pain and discomfort on my foot, Dr. Cary rushed on saying that another surgery could be required and this time a sample could be removed from my knee. I had to cut him and tell him that he hadn't even asked the degree of pain I had. Only after that he went ahead to understand my situation and provide an explanation and proposed treatment. That left me with not the best impression.
