About Carlos Manuel Sanchez-Correa, MD
Carlos Sanchez-Correa, M.D., is a urologist who treats male and female urinary conditions at Baptist Health. He is fluent in English and Spanish. As a urinary tract specialist, Dr. Sanchez-Correa diagnoses and treats complex and recurrent urinary tract infections, incontinence, kidney stones, pelvic floor disorders, erectile dysfunction, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and penile, prostate and testicular concerns. He also cares for patients with bladder, kidney and prostate cancer.
Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Sanchez-Correa worked as a urologist for SIMED Health. He completed his medical degree at the Ponce School of Medicine and Health Sciences and urology residency at Louisiana State University. During his residency, he also served as an investigator on a clinical research study that analyzed the cost burden and risk profile of bladder drainage devices in pediatric patients with bladder disorders. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, American Urological Association and American Medical Association.
Whether he is working with patients in clinic, researching new treatments or volunteering in his local community, Dr. Sanchez-Correa dedicates his time to improving the lives of others. Through listening and discussion, he strives to help patients make the most informed care decisions so they can meet their healthcare goals.
Outside of work, Dr. Sanchez-Correa enjoys exercising, watching movies, and playing ping-pong and basketball.
