Brian Grose, M.D., is a board-certified family medicine physician at Baptist Health Primary Care. Dr. Grose provides comprehensive primary and preventive care, with a focus on helping patients optimize their health and prevent and manage chronic disease. His clinical interests include improving screening for obstructive sleep apnea, diabetes, heart disease and cancer, as well as chronic disease management, preventive health and healthy lifestyle practices. He is especially interested in helping patients improve their health literacy and better understand the steps they can take to prevent disease and manage chronic conditions.
Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Grose completed his family medicine residency at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, Iowa, where he served as chief resident. During his residency, he cared for a diverse patient population in inpatient and outpatient settings and participated in quality improvement, hospital governance and clinical teaching.
Dr. Grose earned his medical degree from Poznan University of Medical Sciences in Poznan, Poland, and completed his family medicine residency at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center. He is board-certified in family medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Grose believes patient education and empowerment are central to good medical care. He strives to meet patients where they are and help them better understand their health, medications, tests and treatment options. By providing clear information and explaining the reasons behind their care, he aims to empower patients to make informed decisions that support their health and quality of life.
Dr. Grose is a native English speaker and is fluent in Spanish.
When he is not treating patients, Dr. Grose enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter and extended family. He also enjoys reading, creative writing, Brazilian jiu-jitsu and staying active through sprinting, calisthenics, swimming, jump rope and strength training.
