Bachir Berbari, M.D., is a medical oncologist and hematologist at the Eugene M. and Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute, part of Baptist Health, at Boca Raton Regional Hospital. Dr. Berbari is certified in internal medicine, oncology and hematology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has expertise in treating all types of cancer with a special interest in hematology.
Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Berbari was a hematologist oncologist at Southern Illinois Hospital in Carterville, Ill., which is part of the Siteman Cancer Network that is led by Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine in St Louis.
Dr. Berbari earned his medical degree at the University of Balamand Faculty of Medicine and Medical Sciences in Lebanon. He completed an internal medicine residency at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai/Englewood Medical Center in Englewood, N.J., and served as chief fellow during a hematology/medical oncology fellowship at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans.
Dr. Berbari is a clinical investigator in the Clinical Therapy Evaluation Program and a member of several professional organizations. He has published his work in peer-reviewed medical journals and presented scientific papers at professional symposiums.
Improving his patients’ quality of life is a priority for Dr. Berbari. He feels it is important to address the patient as a whole when administering treatment to truly promote overall health and well-being.
Dr. Berbari is fluent in English, French and Arabic. When he is not caring for patients, he enjoys painting and teaching others how to paint.
