About Andrew William Schwartz, MD
Andrew William Schwartz, M.D., is a board-certified family medicine physician with Baptist Health Primary Care. He provides comprehensive healthcare for patients of all ages and genders. In addition to diagnosing and treating illnesses, he provides preventive care, health-risk assessments, immunization and screening tests and personalized counseling on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. His clinical interests include mental health, orthopedic and spinal injuries, diabetes and hypertension.
Prior to joining Baptist Health Primary Care, Dr. Schwartz was a family medicine physician at Sylvan Medical Center, a high-volume outpatient clinic in Alberta, Canada. Dr. Schwartz earned his medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies, and completed a residency in family medicine at Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, W.V. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Patient visits with Dr. Schwartz are comprehensive with a focus on preventative care. He takes time to thoroughly review lab results and diagnostic images with patients to ensure that they fully understand the areas of concern and treatment plan.
To maintain his own health, Dr. Schwartz makes fitness part of his daily routine. He enjoys playing poker and watching boxing, wrestling, baseball and football, but spending quality time with his two children brings him the greatest joy.
