About Anand Tarpara, MD
Anand N. Tarpara, M.D., RPVI, is a board- certified, fellowship-trained vascular surgeon at Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute. He specializes in procedures for limb salvage, deep vein thrombosis carotid stenosis, venous insufficiency, dialysis access creation and maintenance, and aortic aneurysm repair. His goal is to restore circulation, prevent complications and help patients return to the activities they love.
Dr. Tarpara is dual-certified by the American Board of Surgery in general and vascular surgery and is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation through the Alliance for Physician Certification & Advancement. Passionate about the future of medicine, he is an advocate for the transformative role of artificial intelligence in improving diagnosis, streamlining treatment and delivering personalized patient care.
He has published in peer-reviewed medical journals, presented at national vascular surgery meetings and is an active member of the Society for Vascular Surgery.
Dr. Tarpara earned his medical degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine, where he also completed his general surgery residency and served as chief resident in his final year. He went on to complete a vascular surgery fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Guided by a patient-first philosophy, Dr. Tarpara blends advanced surgical expertise with clear communication and compassion. He believes the best outcomes occur when patients feel informed, supported and empowered. Partnering with his patients, he tailors each treatment plan to the unique needs of the individual, with a focus on preserving both quality of life and long-term function.
Fluent in English and conversational in Gujarati, Dr. Tarpara enjoys exploring the world with his wife, staying active, playing basketball, discovering new music and gardening.
