Alexander Balaez, PAC

Alexander Balaez is a board-certified physician assistant at Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute. He specializes in interventional cardiology and cardio-oncology. 

Alexander’s academic journey includes earning a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology in 2013 at the University of Florida followed by a master’s degree in physician assistant studies in 2019 at Florida International University. He honed his skills and deepened his understanding of cardiology by working as a medical scribe for Miami Cardiology Group and as a medical assistant for Heartwell Cardiology. His commitment to enhancing patient care with technological advancements prompted him to complete the Knight Foundation Fellowship in Healthcare Technology Innovation at Baptist Health in 2023. 

Alexander’s interest in cardio-oncology underscores his passion for addressing specialized cardiological needs with precision and empathy. 

Alexander is fluent in English and Spanish. When he is not working, he stays active with weight training and hiking and enjoys collecting sneakers.
