Artists-in-residence engage patients in creative, immersive experiences in the waiting areas, lobbies and infusion suites. Through our Arts in Medicine Program, patients experience music, song, color and visual beauty and create their own masterpieces.
Miami Cancer Institute can provide access to clinical trials not widely available elsewhere. Clinical trials find new ways to treat and diagnose cancer and are ongoing. If an appropriate trial is available, we will talk to you about the benefits and risks.

M. Beatriz Currier, M.D., is Medical Director of the Cancer Patient Support Center at Miami Cancer Institute and Chief of Psychosocial Oncology for Miami Cancer Institute and Baptist Health South Florida. She is a Board-certified psychosomatic psychiatrist and leads a multi-specialty team comprised of physicians who specialize in psychiatry, integrative medicine, cancer rehabilitation and pain management, as well as a comprehensive team of clinicians who address the psychosocial and physical well-being of cancer patients. Dr. Currier earned her medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa. She completed a general psychiatry residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center and completed a clinical fellowship in psychosomatic medicine at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Baptist Health Cancer Care was ranked among the top 10 percent in the Country, and Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute was ranked #1 in South Florida, with High Performing ratings in complex cancer care, prostate cancer surgery, lung cancer surgery and treating patients with leukemia, lymphoma & myeloma cancers. The Eugene M. & Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute, part of Baptist Health, at Boca Raton Regional Hospital and Miami Cancer Institute both received High Performing ratings in colon cancer surgery.
