(VIDEO: Tennis pro Genie Bouchard takes time to visit with several patients and their families at Baptist Children’s Hospital.)
Genie Bouchard, currently the world’s 7th-ranked Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) player, took time out of her busy practice schedule to visit with patients and their families at Baptist Children’s Hospital. Bouchard is a twin, and one of four siblings, which may explain her love for children. She was able to engage the young patients in conversation and leave them with a smile on their faces. Bouchard also gave away Miami Open merchandise, autographed over-sized tennis balls and posed for pictures with several families.
Bouchard is in town competing in the 2015 Miami Open Tennis Tournament. The Miami Open runs through April 5 at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park on Key Biscayne. Bouchard is listed as the 6th seed in the tournament.
The Baptist Health South Florida News Team was there to capture the tennis pro’s visit. Watch it now!
