More than 10,000 participants descended upon the Miami Beach Convention Center for the second annual eMerge Americas Conference. The eMerge Americas Conference brings together nearly 500 companies — startups to tech giants — from more than 50 countries, all under one roof. Manny Medina, the founder of the conference, says his goal is to help build South Florida into the “tech hub of the Americas.”
Dozens of industry experts presented seminars on topics from the development of apps and software to the latest trends in Internet security. Attendees also got a chance to experience technology first-hand by piloting virtual drones and sampling wearable technology. The Center for Robotic Surgery at Baptist Health gave conference participants of all ages a chance to test their skills while performing simple procedures using a robotic surgery simulator.
The Baptist Health South Florida News Team was there to witness the hands-on robotic display. Watch it now!
