Today we celebrate Registered Dietitian Day, honoring the RD’s commitment to helping people enjoy healthy lives.
We give a very special thank you to all of Baptist Health’s Registered Dietitians!
Registered Dietitians are the food and nutrition experts, with the training and credentials vital for developing a personalized nutrition plan tailored to a person’s unique nutritional needs, lifestyle and tastes. RDs can also help manage or reduce a person’s risk of chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, cancer and hypertension to name a few, through food and nutrition.
Registered Dietitians translate nutrition science into practical and applicable ways for people to bring nutritious foods into their daily lives. It is our role to discern between fact and fiction and give people the tools needed to make realistic eating behavior changes.
