Residents of West Boca Get a New ER in Their Neighborhood

Residents of West Boca Raton have a convenient new option for emergency care with the opening of Baptist Health’s new freestanding emergency room (ER). Located at 10125 Glades Road in Mission Bay Plaza, the 16,800-square-foot ER will provide round-the-clock emergency services to the surrounding community, according to Nancy Batista-Rodriguez, CEO of Baptist Outpatient Services.

“This new facility reflects our ongoing commitment to ensuring that high-quality, compassionate care is available close to home,” said Ms. Batista-Rodriguez. “We are thrilled to expand our services in the West Boca community and look forward to providing timely, expert care when every second counts.”

Community gets sneak peek at new freestanding ER
Ms. Batista-Rodriguez was joined by Baptist Health leadership, city officials, board and community members and medical professionals for a Dec. 4 ribbon-cutting ceremony. The new facility, which operates as a department of Boca Raton Regional Hospital, part of Baptist Health, is the third freestanding emergency room to be opened in South Florida by Baptist Health in recent years.

Attendees at the ribbon-cutting ceremony were given an exclusive first look at the state-of-the-art facility’s spacious design and advanced capabilities. With 18 exam rooms and a dedicated triage area, the freestanding ER offers a range of convenient on-site services. Patients will have access to comprehensive diagnostic imaging services, including CT scans, ultrasounds, and X-rays, all under one roof. The facility also features an on-site laboratory and a pharmacy, making it a one-stop destination for urgent medical needs.

A wide range of healthcare options for West Boca

“With our comprehensive range of services, advanced technology, and team of skilled medical experts, we’re prepared to meet critical needs anytime they arise,” said Luis Bellmas, vice president of Baptist Outpatient Services.

Mr. Bellmas noted that the new freestanding ER complements existing services in the area, which include Baptist Health Urgent Care Express, Boca Raton Regional Hospital and Baptist Health Virtual Urgent Care on the PineApp. “Together, this network of care ensures that the West Boca community has access to a wide range of healthcare options,” he said.
