We all know someone affected by heart disease. It’s the leading cause of death for all Americans, regardless of race or ethnicity. But did you know that Black adults in the U.S. are at a greater risk than any ethnic group? Research shows that Black adults are 30 percent more likely to die from heart disease. And conditions such as diabetes, obesity and hypertension put them at an increased risk.
