Lessons on Nutrition Served Up at ‘Kids Culinary Boot Camp’ (Video)
Education and nutrition came together at Kids Culinary Boot Camp at West Kendall Baptist Hospital.
The culinary team included Chef Adrianne Calvo, culinary ambassador to West Kendall Baptist Hospital, and Chef Rod Knight, executive chef at the hospital (both pictured above).
“We are teaching kids about nutrition,” said Chef Adrianne, “And I think it is super cool that we get to teach them that it can be fun and it’s something that is fundamental.”
Chef Rod agreed: “We had a chance to explore nutrition and healthy eating habits with the younger age group. I think they walked away with something that will last for the rest of their lives.”
