Are healthy and happy employees linked to robust profits? Research points to a strong connection between employee engagement and corporate profitability.
“Employee engagement and corporate culture have become top-level business priorities for senior management, as there is no arguing that an engaged workforce is a higher performing one. But the disconnect between intent and execution is widespread,” said Susan Hunt Stevens, founder and CEO at WeSpire, an organization that recently released a report about job satisfaction.
Results from the latest “The Evolution of Employee Engagement,” indicate that 57 percent of employees want to see their employer do more to lift employee engagement.
Workplace issues will take center stage at the Global Leadership Summit 2015, which will be held Thursday, Aug. 6 and Friday, August 7. The annual event, organized by the Willow Creek Community Church, is broadcast from Illinois to different regional and global hubs, including Christ Journey Church in Coral Gables.
The annual leadership event delivers measurable results, according to an independent survey of attendees in the 2014 Global Leadership Summit. Improvements in teamwork, job satisfaction and productivity were reported by 83 percent of the attendees, the survey shows.
The 2014 Global Leadership Summit attracted a crowd of more than 90,000 participants from 108 locations around the world who gathered to hear insights about leadership, faith and communications. This year’s event will be broadcast to more than 300 locations in North America.
On the local stage, the 2014 presentation featured presentations from Brian E. Keeley, president and CEO of Baptist Health South Florida, and D. Wayne Brackin, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Baptist Health.
The 2015 lineup of speakers include:
• Ed Catmull, co-founder of Pixar Animation Studios; President of Walt Disney Animation Studios
