Miami Cancer Institute and the Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) Cancer Alliance joined forces to host a continuing medical education symposium, Frontiers in Oncology. The day-and-a-half conference focused on presenting new developments and innovative advances in current oncology practice to a broad range of healthcare professionals involved in the care of oncology patients.
Leading cancer experts discussed technologies and therapeutic approaches to challenging clinical problems, as well as emphasize the supporting science, evidence-based and important research directions. The symposium is presented as part of the official opening weekend of Miami Cancer Institute and its membership in the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Alliance, a unique partnership between MSK and community oncology providers that aims to bring the most current knowledge and advanced cancer care into the community setting. Central to its mission is creating a strong foundation for the expansion of groundbreaking clinical trials, giving Miami Cancer Institute patients a direct pathway to new treatment discoveries previously unavailable in South Florida.
