Baptist Health South Florida partnered with the Miami Marathon and Half Marathon for the third consecutive year Sunday, helping treat some of the thousands of runners for such typical problems as dehydration, sprains and abrasions.
Baptist Heath was the official medical team of the race and sponsor of the cheer zones on Miami Beach, and in the Omni and Brickell areas. Baptist Health was also the title sponsor for the division for athletes with disabilities.
“It’s very important for us to partner with an organization such as Miami Marathon to focus on wellness, exercise and nutrition,” said Dr. Thinh Tran, M.D., Baptist Health’s Chief Medical and Quality Officer. “The race is a celebration of that lifestyle.”
