Philanthropy is funding the growing need for life-changing research and discovery at Baptist Health, particularly in our Centers of Excellence:  Miami Cancer Institute, Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute, Miami Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute and Miami Neuroscience Institute. The federal government no longer funds the majority of research conducted in the U.S., so we must rely increasingly on the private sector, illustrating the growing importance of philanthropy to Baptist Health and the patients we serve.

Through support of clinical trials and laboratory research, donors can help find new ways to prevent, treat and cure various diseases and conditions, and help educate the medical community on methods of diagnosis, treatment and prevention. Donor generosity can fund research into new treatments for various forms of cancer, new surgical techniques for a variety of conditions, genetic studies of cancer risk, molecular determinants of response to specific therapies, and approaches that improve the quality of life for patients and their caregivers.

Your support of research at Baptist Health will help transform the future of healthcare for our patients and the communities we serve. Your donation will help advance discovery and fund clinical trials that could lead to breakthrough treatments when you or someone you love need it most.
