Generosity Heals

More than 2,000 people, including 167 teams, participated in Bounce Back from CancerTM, a partnership between Baptist Health Foundation and the Miami HEAT, on Saturday, March 14. The annual event raised over $7 million for research at Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute, part of Baptist Health Cancer Care.

Baptist Health Foundation announced today that it has received a $1 million grant fromOcean Reef Community Foundation benefiting the Baptist Health Homestead Hospital Clinical Expansion Fund. The grant will support the building of a four-story, 134,000 sq-ft tower at Baptist Health Homestead Hospital in Homestead, Florida, to increase inpatient capacity, expand surgical and diagnostic resources and enhance the patient experience. The Ocean Reef Community Foundation will be recognized at the hospital with a naming ceremony at a later date.

Baptist Health Foundation announced today that it has received a $5 million grant from the Elaine and Eduardo Saverin Foundation benefiting Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute. The Elaine and Eduardo Saverin Parkinson's Disease Fund will support the Institute’s Parkinson’s disease clinical care program, which will focus on medical care, research, community outreach and technological innovation for patients with Parkinson’s disease.

More than 150 guests attended the Evening of Gratitude benefiting Bethesda Hospital, part of Baptist Health, which was held on Friday, February 20 at the OPAL Grand Resort & Spa in Delray Beach. Presented by Barbara and Ben Lucas and Pam and Michael McCarthy, the event honored members of Baptist Health Foundation’s Giving Society and other donors to Bethesda Hospital.

More than 170 guests attended An Evening of Gratitude benefiting Baptist Health Mariners Hospital, which was held on Saturday, January 24 at the Cheeca Lodge & Spa in Islamorada, Florida. The event, presented by Kathy and Steve Holmes, raised nearly $300,000 as the Foundation celebrated its Giving Society members and other donors to Mariners Hospital in Tavernier.
