Baptist Health Foundation held its 2025 Grand Gala Saturday, November 8 the Miami Beach Convention Center Grand Ballroom. The event brought together community leaders, healthcare professionals, donors and corporate philanthropy partners to support Baptist Health’s hospitals, institutes, services and programs in Monroe, Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.

Baptist Health Foundation announced today that it has received a $2 million donation from Anthony and Joyce Esernia to establish a new endowed chair at Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute. In recognition of the donors, the chair will be named the Esernia Endowed Chair in Surgical Treatment of Adult Epilepsy and Movement Disorders.

Baptist Health Foundation will celebrate its 2025 Grand Gala benefiting Baptist Health on Saturday, November 8 the Miami Beach Convention Center Grand Ballroom. The annual event, which raises funds for Baptist Health entities and programs throughout Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Monroe counties, will feature a cocktail reception, formal dinner, silent auction and renowned entertainment.

Baptist Health Foundation announced today that it has received a $1 million donation from Sid and Ashley Perkins benefiting Baptist Health Doctors Hospital in Coral Gables. The gift will support the renovation and modernization of the hospital, including its surgical facilities, and will be recognized with a naming to be unveiled at a later date.

Baptist Health Foundation held an unveiling ceremony on May 6 for the naming of the Patrick and Linda McEnany Admitting area on the main floor of Baptist Health Doctors Hospital. The naming honors a $1 million gift made by the McEnanys in 2024, which will support surgical services at the hospital. Speakers at the event included Alex Villoch, CEO of Baptist Health Foundation; Lourdes Boue, CEO of Doctors Hospital and West Kendall Baptist Hospital; Sid Perkins, Foundation Council chair and Doctors Hospital Operating Board member and donors Patrick and Linda McEnany.
