Eligible Allied Health Academic Programs

The program is open to students enrolled in eligible allied health programs at our affiliated Academic Partners who have completed at least one clinical rotation at Baptist Health. The allied health programs listed below are eligible for the Scholars Program. Please note that program availability may change based on healthcare workforce needs.

Your Path to Becoming a Scholar

We’ve streamlined the process so you can focus on your learning and growth. Here’s how it works:

  1. Enroll in an Eligible Program

    Enroll at a partner institution in one of the eligible allied health programs listed above and maintain strong academic standing.
  2. Complete Clinical Rotations at Baptist Health

    Gain hands-on experience during your clinical rotations at a Baptist Health facility, guided by our skilled clinical leaders.
  3. Be Nominated for the Program

    Your clinical leader at Baptist Health may nominate you during our nomination windows for the Allied Health Scholars Program.
  4. Become an Allied Health Scholar

    If selected, you’ll receive program benefits and join a vibrant community of emerging allied health professionals.



Eligibility & Nomination Details

We seek driven, caring students who are ready to serve and succeed. Here’s what we look for:

Eligibility Prerequisites

  • You’re currently enrolled in an eligible allied health academic program affiliated with Baptist Health.
  • You’re completing clinical rotations at a Baptist Health facility.
  • You’re eligible to work in the United States.
  • You have a minimum cumulative or program GPA of 3.0.
Acceptance and admission to the program is contingent on submission of all requested materials and meeting all eligibility requirements as determined by the program.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, national origin, disability or veteran status.

Nomination Process

  • Where do applicants go to apply?
    Because we select scholars through nomination, you do not apply directly. Clinical leaders have the opportunity to nominate a student they find to be exemplary during scheduled nomination windows.
  • Nomination Timeline
    Students may be nominated three times per year in February, May, or August as they approach graduation by the Baptist leader they rotated with. Nomination timing is subject to change. Students should speak with their clinical leader early in their rotation to understand timing and next steps.

  • Students must meet academic and clinical eligibility requirements and be nominated by a Baptist Health clinical leader.

  • No. Students do not apply directly. You must be nominated by your Baptist Health clinical leader while completing your clinical rotation at a Baptist Health facility. Nominations occur during scheduled nomination windows.

  • You may be eligible if you:

    • Are currently enrolled in an eligible allied health academic program at one of our partner schools.
    • Are completing clinical rotations at a Baptist Health facility.
    • Are eligible to work in the United States.

    All eligibility requirements must be met at the time of nomination.

  • Nomination periods are designated times when clinical leaders may submit candidates who meet all eligibility requirements. Students will be notified by their school or Baptist Health if they are selected. If you think you may qualify, speak with your clinical leader during your rotation.

  • Students must be eligible to work in the United States to participate. If you have questions about your eligibility, speak with your school or contact the Allied Health Scholars team.

  • Yes. To be considered for nomination, you must be enrolled in an eligible allied health program at a Baptist Health partner institution and completing your clinical rotation at one of our facilities.

  • If you are nominated, your information will be reviewed by the Baptist Health Academics team. Selected students will receive next steps regarding requirements, benefits and participation details. Your school and clinical leader will support you through the process.

  • Yes, most programs within the Allied Health Scholars Program include work commitments or employment pathways. If applicable, details will be provided to selected scholars.
