Miami Cancer Institute
The Miami Cancer Institute, located on the campus of Baptist Hospital, is a destination cancer center known for its innovation and precision in cancer care, exceptional patient experience, advanced clinical research and state-of-the-art technology. The impressive roster of clinicians at Miami Cancer Institute includes renowned oncologists; world-recognized, highly sub-specialized cancer experts and surgeons; clinical researchers and genomic scientists. The Center’s advanced radiation oncology program includes the first proton therapy center from South Florida to South America. As Florida's only member of the Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) Cancer Alliance, Miami Cancer Institute is part of a deep and functional collaboration that affords patients access to innovative treatments close to home and ensures that the standards of care developed by the multidisciplinary disease management teams match those at MSK. Baptist Hospital
The flagship facility of Baptist Health South Florida, Baptist Hospital of Miami has been one of the most respected medical centers in South Florida since its founding in 1960 and is today one of America’s most preferred medical centers. With more than 900 beds, it is the largest of Baptist Health’s 12 hospitals. Three Centers of Excellence are housed on the campus: Miami Cancer Institute, Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute (the largest and most comprehensive cardiovascular facility in the region) and Miami Neuroscience Institute.
Eligibility Requirements and Application Schedule
Program Eligibility
- Pharm.D. degree from an ACPE accredited college of pharmacy
- Completion of an ASHP accredited PGY-1 pharmacy residency (certificate required)
- Must obtain a Florida pharmacist’s license
Application Requirements
Prospective residents are required to submit the following:
- Curriculum Vitae
- Official transcripts from all colleges of pharmacy attended
- Three letters of recommendation from professional references utilizing standard form required by PhORCAS™
- Personal statement of intent
