Erika Dittmar, Pharm.D., BCPS, is The Director of Pharmacy and PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program at Baptist Hospital of Miami. She graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy and completed a Pharmacy Residency at Baptist Hospital of Miami. After completion of her residency training, Erika spent 10 years as an Emergency Department Clinical Pharmacy Specialist supporting numerous initiatives to establish pharmacy services. In her current position, she is actively engaged with mentoring staff, residents, and students and is committed to professional organization involvement.
Kristen de Almeida, Pharm.D., MSc, BCCP, received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Nova Southeastern University and Master’s in Biomedical Science at Florida Atlantic University. She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University. She then completed a PGY1 Pharmacy and PGY2 Cardiology residencies at West Palm Beach VA Medical Center. She joined Baptist Hospital Pharmacy team in July 2019 as a Cardiology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist/Educator with a focus in transitions of care for heart failure. She precepts pharmacy students from UF, NSU and pharmacy residents at BHM. She is also an active member of the American College of Cardiology’s Cardiovascular Team and ACCP’s Cardiology PRN. Her interests include anticoagulation, valvular heart disease, electrophysiology and advanced heart failure.
Lourdes Menendez Alvarado earned her Bachelor of Science degrees in Biochemistry and Spanish Literature from the University of Miami in 2017. She received her PharmD from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy and completed her PGY1 Pharmacy and PGY2 Infectious Diseases residencies at Baptist Hospital of Miami and Baptist Health South Florida, respectively. Dr. Menendez Alvarado is double Board Certified in Pharmacotherapy and Infectious Diseases and holds professional certificates in Teaching and Pharmacogenomics. She re-joined Baptist Hospital of Miami as an Antimicrobial Stewardship and Infectious Diseases Specialist in 2024, where she currently serves as co-chair of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Collaborative and coordinates ASP initiatives with system-wide committees, physician groups, microbiology lab, and infection control and prevention. Her practice interests include gram-negative antimicrobial resistance, combination therapies, and antimicrobial pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic optimization. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and Parti Poodle, Tini.
Stephen Bueno, Pharm.D., CPh, BCEMP, is an Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Clinical Specialist at Baptist Hospital of Miami. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Florida in 2019. Dr. Bueno began his pharmacy career in 2014, serving in various roles, including Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacy Intern, and Clinical Pharmacist. In 2025, he transitioned to his current role as Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Clinical Specialist. He serves as a pharmacy preceptor to residents and pharmacy students for Emergency Medicine. With extensive experience in emergency medicine, Dr. Bueno has championed patient safety and quality improvement initiatives. He became a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Pharmacist in 2024 and holds a Florida Consultant Pharmacist License. At Baptist Hospital of Miami, Dr. Bueno focuses on stroke and resuscitation code response, toxicology and bleed reversal, medication reconciliation, and expanding emergency medicine pharmacy services
Pierce Buzzi-Davidson, PharmD, BCPS is the Medication Safety and Quality Coordinator at Baptist Hospital of Miami. He received his Bachelor in Biochemistry from the University of South Florida in 2011 and his Doctor of Pharmacy from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in 2015. Dr. Buzzi-Davidson started his pharmacy career in 2006 serving many roles operationally and clinically including Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacy Intern, Clinical Pharmacist, and ED Pharmacy Specialist. Pierce’s experience has allowed him to advocate for medication safety directly with local and system level initiatives. He became a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist in 2019 and most recently obtained his Florida Consultant License in 2021. Dr. Buzzi-Davidson is responsible for coordinating the investigation of medication-related incidents and developing and implementing system changes to mitigate risk.
Dr. Emilie Collongette is a Primary Care Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Baptist Health South Florida and proud graduate of our residency program.
Dr. Collongette obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. She completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the Miami VA Healthcare System and an Ambulatory Care PGY2 Residency at Baptist Health South Florida. Dr. Collongette is a Board Certified Medication Therapy Management Specialist and licensed Consultant Pharmacist in the State of Florida.
In her current role, Dr. Collongette has an established collaborative practice agreement with Baptist Health Medical Group Primary Care providers in the management of hypertension, type 2 diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and weight loss. She also serves as a preceptor for APPE students and PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residents. Dr. Collongette is an active member of Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists (FSHP) and participates in the ambulatory care clinical forum.
Heidi Clarke, Pharm.D., BCCCP, obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Nova Southeastern University (NSU), College of Pharmacy. She completed post graduate residency training in Internal Medicine/General Pharmacy Practice with a focus on Critical Care Medicine at NSU in conjunction with Baptist Hospital of Miami. Dr. Clarke practices as the ICU Clinical Specialist at Baptist Hospital, she serves as one of the Clinical Managers and the Director of the PGY2 Critical Care Residency Program at Baptist Hospital. She is recognized for her efforts as the Critical Care Pharmacy Services leader within Baptist Health South Florida. She is also an adjunct Professor of Pharmacy at NSU and UF. Dr. Clarke has received numerous awards and recognition for her service to the profession in the community, most recently she was presented with the 2018 Preceptor of the Year award by NSU, College of Pharmacy. In addition, she is involved with various committees and professional organizations and serves as a reviewer for abstracts for the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM). She has served on ASHP’s Committee charged with updating the residency learning objectives for PGY-II Critical Care residency programs.
Jefferson Cua, Pharm.D., BCIDP, received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Chicago in 2010 and subsequently earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of California-San Francisco (UCSF) in 2018. After pharmacy school, he completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Michigan Medicine where he served as a clinical instructor and obtained a teaching certificate from the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy. He then went on to complete a PGY2 Infectious Diseases Residency at UW Health, where he was appointed as a clinical instructor with the University of Wisconsin – Madison School of Pharmacy. Dr. Cua joined Baptist Hospital of Miami (BHM) in 2020, where he currently serves as an Antimicrobial Stewardship (ASP) Specialist. At BHM, he co-leads the ASP Collaborative Committee and coordinates ASP initiatives with system-wide committees, physician groups, microbiology lab, and infection control and prevention. He is also an active member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) and Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists (SIDP). As a current clinical instructor for the University of Florida College of Pharmacy and Nova Southeastern University College of Pharmacy, he precepts pharmacy students in addition to PGY1 and PGY2 residents at Baptist Health South Florida. His clinical research interests include antimicrobial stewardship in the management of pneumonia, antifungal therapeutic drug monitoring, and HIV.
Maura Falli, Pharm.D., BCCP, achieved her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2019. She then went on to complete her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Stony Brook University Hospital in 2020, and her PGY2 Cardiology Residency with Capital Cardiology Associates/Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2021. Following residency training, she joined the Baptist Hospital Pharmacy team in August 2021 where she currently works as a Cardiology Clinical Specialist with a focus in cardiac stepdown patients and transitions of care for heart failure. She precepts pharmacy residents from Baptist Hospital of Miami and pharmacy students from Nova Southeastern University and University of Florida. She is also a member of ACCP’s Cardiology PRN and American College of Cardiology. Her interests include research, advanced heart failure, and cardio-oncology.
Yarelys Garcia, PharmD, BSN, DPLA, is a Pharmacy Operations manager at Baptist Hospital of Miami. In 1999, she graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. From 1999-2007, she practiced as a Registered Nurse at Miami Children’s Hospital in the NICU, PICU and Cardiac ICU. In May 2007, she earned her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Pharmacy. Upon graduating, she worked as a NICU specialist at South Miami Hospital (SMH) for seven years. In 2016, she transitioned to her first leadership role as the Clinical Pharmacy Supervisor at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Then in 2018, she returned to SMH to work as a Clinical Coordinator. She is part of the 2021 ASHP Pharmacy Leadership Academy graduating class. Her practice interests include administration & sterile compounding.
Radhan B. Gopalani, Pharm.D., BCPS, BCCP, AACC, received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Nova Southeastern University (NSU) in 1995. She completed her Pharmacy Practice Residency training at Miami Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC). Prior to starting her journey at Baptist Hospital in 2007, she had worked as an Ambulatory Care Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Miami VAMC and as a Critical Care Pharmacy Specialist at Kendall Regional Medical Center. Over the course of last 15 years at Baptist, she has served in various roles including General Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator, Cardiology Specialists/Educator, PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Director and Cardiology Clinical Coordinator. Currently, she is the Cardiology Pharmacy Clinical Manager and PGY2 Cardiology RPD. In her current position, she oversees cardiology clinical pharmacy initiatives at the Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute and inpatient cardiac units supporting cardiology transitions of care and leading pharmacy investigational drug services for. She performs in an evaluative and educational capacity for evidence-based use of cardiovascular medications within our health system. She co-chairs Cardiac and Vascular Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) Sub-Committee. Radhan is an adjunct clinical faculty for the colleges of pharmacy at University of Florida, Palm Beach Atlantic University and NSU. She precepts pharmacy residents and students for various clinical rotations and facilitates their research at Baptist Hospital. She has passion for teaching and mentoring; she believes in empowering and inspiring others to achieve their highest potential. Her leadership mission is to be a leader who actively listens and is genuinely interested in her team’s talent development and who serves as a facilitator and role model for others.
Amanda Gronniger, PharmD, CPh, BCCP earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Missouri-Kansas City. Following graduation, she completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency with an emphasis in ambulatory care at AdventHealth Celebration in Celebration, FL. After completing residency training, she started her career at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, MO as a clinical pharmacist where she worked primarily on the cardiology step-down unit and served as PGY1 cardiology and anticoagulation preceptor as well as APPE preceptor. Amanda joined Baptist Health in 2023 as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist covering the MCVI Cardiology Lipid, Cardiometabolic, and Resistant Hypertension clinics. She holds certifications in Diabetes Management, Immunization Administration, and Collaborative Practice Agreements as well as having her Consultant Pharmacist license in Florida. She is a preceptor for pharmacy students at Nova Southeastern University and for PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residents.
Savine Hernandez, Pharm.D., BCOP, is an Inpatient Oncology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist for the Malignant Hematology and Stem Cell Transplant services at Miami Cancer Institute, Baptist Health South Florida. She received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a specialization in Biochemistry from the University of Virginia in 2016 and obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy in 2021. Dr. Hernandez completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN and a PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. Dr. Hernandez precepts PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residents and pharmacy students for the inpatient hematology/oncology and stem cell transplant learning experiences. She is an active member of the Hematology Oncology Pharmacy Association (HOPA), Florida Society of Clinical Oncology (FLASCO), and the American Society for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy (ASTCT).
Sanil Kanjookaran, Pharm.D., graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida, College of Pharmacy in 2011. Post graduation, he spent eight years as a clinical pharmacist in the Northside Hospital System in Atlanta, GA where he gained experience in internal medicine, sterile compounding and oncology services. In 2020, he moved back home to South Florida with his family and joined the BHSF system. After a short stint as a clinical pharmacist, he transitioned into his current role as a Pharmacy Operations Supervisor. He precepts pharmacy students from NSU and pharmacy residents at BHM. He is also an active member of the Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists and participates in the Membership Affairs Committee. His practice interests include administration, sterile compounding and medication safety where he leads the efforts to improve BCMA compliance for BHM.
Jonathan Kline, Pharm.D., BCCCP, obtained his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy in 2016. He completed two years of post-graduate training at Baptist Hospital of Miami specializing in Critical Care. After completion of his residency training, he practiced as a Critical Care Specialist at Memorial Hospital West. Dr. Kline rejoined the Baptist Hospital of Miami team in 2019 where he served on multidisciplinary teams as the Neuro Critical Care Pharmacy Specialist. Currently, he is the Clinical Coordinator for Critical Care Services as part of the Baptist Hospital Leadership team and liaison to the Miami Neuroscience Institute. He participates in the Critical Care Collaborative Committee, Neuro Critical Care Subcommittee, and Stroke Committee. Jonathan is a preceptor for pharmacy students at Nova Southeastern University and for both PGY1 Pharmacy and PGY2 Critical Care Residents.
Reynold Lopetegui, Pharm.D., BCPS, is an Internal Medicine Pharmacy Clinical Specialist at Baptist Hospital of Miami. Dr. Lopetegui earned his Doctor of Pharmacy from Nova Southeastern University in 2020. In 2021, he joined Baptist Hospital of Miami and developed comprehensive clinical expertise spanning the emergency department, internal medicine, and critical care services. By 2025, Dr. Lopetegui advanced to his current role as Internal Medicine Pharmacy Clinical Specialist, became a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist, and began serving as a pharmacy preceptor to residents and pharmacy students for Internal Medicine. At Baptist Hospital of Miami, Dr. Lopetegui rounds with multidisciplinary teams including medical residents, medical students, and pharmacy students, providing evidence-based pharmacotherapy recommendations to ensure patient safety and optimal care.
Armando Mieres Jr., Pharm.D., BCPS, graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy; He then completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at South Miami Hospital; After completing his residency training, he joined Baptist Hospital of Maimi where he currently serves as a Transitions of Care Pharmacy Specialist. He precepts residents and pharmacy students form Larkin and Palm Beach Atlantic University.
Amy Montes, Pharm.D., BCPS, obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Nova Southeastern University (NSU), College of Pharmacy. She then completed post graduate residency training with Broward General in conjunction with NSU. Dr. Montes started as a Clinical Coordinator in 2009 at Westside Regional Medical Center and transferred over to Kendall Regional Medical Center as their Clinical Manager in 2012. In 2017, Dr. Montes transitioned over to Baptist Hospital of Miami (BHM) as a Cardiology Clinical Pharmacy Specialists/Educator. Currently she serves as one of the Pharmacy Operations Manager at BHM. She is also an adjunct faculty for NSU and a preceptor to both pharmacy residents and students in Hospital Pharmacy rotation and Medication Use learning experience.
Natacha Cortes Munoz, Pharm.D., BCPS, is one of the Medication Safety and Quality Coordinators at Baptist Hospital of Miami. She began her pharmacy career at Baptist Hospital as a pharmacy technician in 2003 before attending pharmacy school. Dr. Cortes earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2011. Following graduation, she transitioned to a clinical staff pharmacist at Baptist Hospital, and later became Board-Certified in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS) in 2021. Through her leadership and in-depth knowledge of pharmacy operations and clinical workflows, she was promoted to Medication Safety Clinical Coordinator in 2023. In her current role, Dr. Cortes is responsible for coordinating the investigation of medication-related incidents and developing and implementing system-level changes to mitigate risk. Natacha is a preceptor for pharmacy students and for PGY1 Pharmacy Residents.
Stephanie Palma, Pharm.D. BCPS, obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Nova Southeastern University (NSU) in 2013. She continued at NSU College of Pharmacy to obtain her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2017. She completed a post-graduate pharmacy practice residency at Baptist Hospital of Miami in 2018. After residency, Dr. Palma practiced as the clinical pharmacy specialist for the ICU stepdown and the Nutrition Support Team. Her current role is Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator at Baptist Hospital focusing on leading pharmacy efforts in internal medicine, investigational drug services and P&T. She precepts students and residents as an adjunct clinical faculty member for NSU and University of Florida.
Natalie Quesep, Pharm.D., BCPS, BCCCP received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida. She continued her training at Baptist Hospital of Miami where she completed two years of post-graduate residency training specializing in Critical Care. After completion of residency, she practiced as a Critical Care & Emergency Department Specialist for Doctors Hospital and is now the eICU Clinical Pharmacy Specialist. Within Baptist Health, she participates in the System-wide Adult Critical Care Committee. She is also an active member of SCCM’s Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology section, ACCP Critical Care PRN, and FSHP’s Critical Care/Emergency Medicine Clinical Forum.
Dr. Elaina Rosario is the Clinical Pharmacy Ambulatory Care Coordinator at Baptist Health Florida primarily located at the Family Medicine Center at West Kendall Baptist Hospital. She is responsible for clinical activities such as serving as a preceptor to pharmacy students and pharmacy residents, chronic disease state management, specialty medication counseling, medication therapy management, and medication coverage support for the Baptist Health Medical Group Primary Care and Endocrinology offices. She also serves as a liaison between the pharmacy and clinic leadership to help expand ambulatory care pharmacy services.
Dr. Rosario completed her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Northeastern University. She pursued a PGY1 Community Pharmacy residency at Penobscot Community Health Care and further pursued a PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy residency at Nova Southeastern University. During her residency years, Dr. Rosario garnered extensive experiences in disease state management (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, heart failure, and anticoagulation) and value-based care metrics. Dr. Rosario holds a distinction of being a Board-Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist as well as having a Consultant Pharmacist license in the State of Florida. She has certifications in Immunization Administration, Medication Therapy Management, and Collaborative Practice Agreements, Nutrition Coaching, and Wellness Coaching. Prior to joining BHSF, Dr. Rosario served as a Clinical Pharmacist/Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator at Accountable Care Options/Primus Health Network and oversaw the pharmacy clinical team within the primary care clinics and developed pharmacy clinical programs.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Dr. Rosario serves as an active member of the Dade County Pharmacy Association (DCPA) and Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists (FSHP).
Marie Rossique-Gonzalez, Pharm.D., is the Pediatric Pharmacy Manager at Baptist Children's Hospital. She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida (UF) and completed a Pediatric Clinical Pharmacy Residency at Holtz Children's Hospital at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center. She has over 20 years of experience as a Pediatric Clinical Pharmacist in Pediatric Intensive Care, General Pediatrics, and Neonatology. She is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support in accordance with the curriculum of the American Heart Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is a member of the Pediatric Pharmacy Advocacy Group. She has published multiple abstracts and articles in the pediatrics pharmacy and medical literature. Present or past Academic Appointments include voluntary Clinical Assistant Professor Pediatrics: University of Miami/School of Medicine, Clinical Assistant Professor at the UF and Nova Southeastern University of Health Sciences.
Maria Andreina Ruiz, PharmD, BCPS, BCCP earned her Bachelor Arts degree in Chemistry at the University of North Carolina (UNC) – Chapel Hill in 2017, and subsequently went on to earn her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy in 2022. She then went on to complete her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency and PGY2 Cardiology Pharmacy Resident at Baptist Hospital of Miami. Following residency training, she joined Baptist Hospital of Miami as a Stepdown Clinical Pharmacy Specialist. In November 2024, she joined the cardiology team as a Cardiology Clinical Specialist with a focus in cardiac stepdown and advanced heart failure patients. She precepts pharmacy residents from Baptist Hospital and pharmacy students from the University of Florida. She is also a member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy’s Cardiology PRN group and is a member of the American College of Cardiology. Her interests include advanced heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, and electrophysiology.
Allison Vargas, Pharm.D., BCPS, BCCCP, obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from Florida International University in 2017 and subsequently earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy in 2021. She then completed PGY1 Pharmacy Practice and PGY2 Critical Care residencies at the Baptist Hospital of Miami (BHM). After completion of residency training, Dr. Vargas stayed on at BHM where she currently serves as the Medical/Surgical Critical Care Pharmacy Specialist. She participates in the Critical Care Collaborative Committee and precepts both PGY1 Pharmacy and PGY2 Critical Care residents.
Annette Vidal, Pharm.D., graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Nova Southeastern University, College of Pharmacy. She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency and her PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residency at the Miami Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC). Following residency training, she joined the Baptist Hospital Pharmacy team in July 2021 where she currently works as a Pharmacy Operations Supervisor. She precepts pharmacy residents and students. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and baking.
Jessica Wine, Pharm.D., BCPS graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Nova Southeastern University with highest honors and completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at Baptist Hospital of Miami. Following residency training, she spent 12 years as an Emergency Department Clinical Pharmacist at Baptist Hospital of Miami. Dr. Wine currently serves as a Transitions of Care (TOC) Clinical Specialist where she precepts PGY1 residents from Baptist Hospital of Miami and pharmacy students from Nova Southeastern University and the University of South Florida. She is an active member of the Transitions of Care Committee in the hospital.
Thomas Wolfel, Pharm.D., BCCCP, obtained a Bachelor's of Science in Biology from the University of Pittsburgh in 2008 and continued on at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy to obtain his Pharm.D. in 2012. He completed post-graduate residency training at Jackson Memorial Hospital with a focus in critical care at Ryder Trauma Center. Dr. Wolfel joined Baptist Hospital (BHM) in 2013 after residency completion and his current role is the as the Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator for Emergency Medicine and Surgical Services. He serves as the pharmacy clinical representative on a number of local and system-wide committees related to emergency and surgical services in collaboration with Baptist Health South Florida (BHSF) Miami Neuroscience Institute, Transitions of Care, Diabetes Collaborative, Disaster Response Team, Antimicrobial Stewardship Team, Medication Safety Committee, and many others. At BHM, he focuses on medication reconciliation, disease state management, stroke and resuscitation code response, toxicology and bleed reversal, and expansion of emergency medicine pharmacy services across the BHSF system. Dr. Wolfel earned his teaching certificate from the University of Connecticut in 2019 and currently serves as adjunct pharmacy faculty at Nova Southeastern University, University of Florida, and Palm Beach Atlantic University. In addition to this, he provides the didactic pharmacology lecture series for the Nova Southeastern ED Nursing Residency Program.
