One Year after My Weight-loss Surgery

Today is the first anniversary of my weight-loss surgery. I feel like it’s my birthday because I was given a new life; a better life with more energy, less pain and best of all, the ability to enjoy all that the world offers.

Released from the Shackles of Obesity

I’ve had some time to think about it and now realize that living as an obese person was like being imprisoned for life. Since my weight-loss surgery, I feel like I’ve been released from the shackles of my former life and am free to enjoy life’s pleasures. I missed so much of life when I was obese.

Good Things Are Happening

I’m feeling great because some good things have been happening. I had my blood drawn for routine post-surgery lab tests and guess what? No more high cholesterol. I can stop taking medicine to lower it!
